Constructed of lacquered dark brown wool, the lid bearing hand etched dedications of TO ALOZA FROM PAPA and PORTS ISLAND MADE BY G. P. O. W. 1914 15, surrounding a central slot, opening with a dual functional hinges and featuring a keyhole (the key missing), measuring 11. 5 cm (w) x 9 cm (l) x 6. 5 cm (h), an interesting example of POW ephemera from a captive German serviceman in Bermuda and purchased by a local or tourist for
